Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern Kumivaro, contractor business software provided by Lumatra Technology LLC ("Lumatra," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Kumivaro, you agree to these terms.

Service and accounts

You must provide accurate account information and protect your credentials. You are responsible for activity by authorized users of your account and for the customer information, document content, taxes, licenses, permits, and legal compliance of your business. You may not use Kumivaro for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing, or security-disrupting activity.

Plans, subscriptions, and renewal

Available features may vary by plan. Paid monthly and annual plans automatically renew at the price and interval displayed at purchase unless cancelled before renewal. Purchases made through Apple or Google must be managed in the applicable store account; web subscriptions are managed through the provider identified at checkout. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not generally refund a completed billing period except where required by law or the applicable store rules. Restoring an eligible mobile purchase does not create a second subscription.

Contractor and customer payments

Invoice payments facilitated through Stripe or another payment provider are transactions between the contractor and the contractor's customer. Lumatra does not control the underlying work, refund obligations, disputes, taxes, chargebacks, or legal compliance of those transactions. Provider processing fees and terms may apply.

For United States domestic cards, the current online-card total is 3.4% + 30¢ and the Tap to Pay total is 3.2% + 5¢, plus 10¢ per authorization. These totals include Stripe processing charges and Kumivaro's 0.5% platform service fee. Rates for international cards, currency conversion, disputes, or future provider pricing changes may differ; the current in-product disclosure controls.

Your data and permissions

You retain ownership of content you enter. You grant Lumatra the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, secure, and back up that content to provide Kumivaro. You represent that you have the right to enter and share customer, employee, property, photo, signature, and project information. Maintain independent copies of legally important records.

Documents, calculations, and measurements

Estimates, contracts, clauses, tax calculations, schedules, prices, profit reports, floor plans, LiDAR or camera measurements, and templates are productivity tools. They are not legal, accounting, engineering, architectural, insurance, payroll, or tax advice. You are responsible for reviewing accuracy, obtaining professional advice when appropriate, and confirming that documents comply with the laws that apply to your work.

Automated receipt extraction

Receipt Scanner uses automated text extraction to prepare an editable expense draft. Scans may be incomplete or inaccurate. You must review the vendor, date, amount, tax, category, and supporting image before saving or relying on an expense record.

Availability and changes

Kumivaro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change as the service develops. We may perform maintenance, correct errors, or discontinue a feature, and we will provide notice when reasonably practicable for material changes.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Kumivaro or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation of these terms, security threats, nonpayment, misuse, or legal requirements. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumatra disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumatra's total liability arising from Kumivaro will not exceed the amount you paid for Kumivaro during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Privacy and platform terms

Our Privacy Policy explains our data practices. When you obtain Kumivaro through Apple or Google, the applicable platform terms also apply. If no custom Apple license agreement is presented, Apple's standard licensed application end-user license agreement applies to the iOS or iPadOS application.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date, and additional notice will be provided when required by law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted.
